Our story
servinga has located its headquarters in Frankfurt am Main for some very good reasons: DE-CIX is home to the world’s largest internet hub measured in terms of data throughput. For our customers, this means the highest possible speed when connecting their cloud computing to the internet and almost perfect protection against failures. Of course, being based in Germany means that German law applies to all possible legal issues and cases relating to cloud computing.
Frankfurt am Main is the ideal base for cloud computing in Germany; high speed and reliability are just as dependable there as the usual legal protections which take into account EU standards and go above and beyond when it comes to data protection.
The Journey
April 2014: Birth of VPS2day
Christian Lertes and Adam Lakota founded VPS2day as self-
service B2C hosting provider with points of presence in
Germany and the Netherlands.
April 2015: Expansion to England
After a year of growth, a new datacenter location in the
United Kingdom is being developed, expanding the European presence of VPS2day to Manchester in England.
January 2016: Expansion to Scandinavia and Romania
Growing demands for new locations lead to the expansion
towards Sweden (Stockholm) and Romania (Bucharest).
August 2016: Transatlantic Expansion
Two years after being founded, VPS2day crosses the pond
and enters the US market with a new strategic datacenter
location in Dallas, Texas.
January 2018: Expansion in Central Europe
Switzerland is added as a new location to the network.
March 2018: Integration and Rebranding
Formerly independent VPS2day is being integrated into its
parent company servinga GmbH. As part of this reorganization, servinga launches its OpenStack Public Cloud, focusing on Managed Services.
November 2018: TrustedCloud Seal
servinga becomes one of the first five cloud providers in Germany to receive the TrustedCloud seal from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action. This award confirms servinga’s high standards in data security and data protection in cloud computing and strengthens trust in their services.
April 2021: HostAdvice Award
servinga is awarded the “Top 10 Customer Service” award by HostAdvice. This award underlines the consistent focus on customer satisfaction and confirms the high standard of support.
servinga sets a benchmark for quality and reliability in customer service.
May 2022: Shopware Hosting Partnership
servinga becomes an official Shopware Hosting Partner, strengthening its position in the e-commerce sector.
This cooperation enables servinga to offer tailored hosting solutions specifically designed for online retailers’ needs.
April 2023: Launch of Innovative Cloud Environment
servinga launches an innovative, self-developed cloud environment with its own Software-Defined Networking (SDN) stack. This new platform offers improved performance, scalability, and security. 10,000 virtual servers are successfully migrated to the new environment. This milestone demonstrates technological competence and lays the foundation for future growth.
April 2024: Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Award
servinga receives the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Award, honoring the 50 fastest-growing technology companies. The success is based on the self-developed cloud infrastructure technology, underlining servinga’s innovation and competitiveness in the cloud computing sector.
May 2024: Proxmox VE Partnership
servinga becomes an official Proxmox VE Partner, crowning the company’s decade-long expertise with this technology. Proxmox VE, a powerful platform for private clouds, has long been a core component of servinga’s offerings. The partnership strengthens servinga’s position in virtualized infrastructures and enables optimized private cloud solutions for customers.
June 2024: New Company Headquarters
The move to the new company headquarters marks an important milestone in the company’s growth. The modern premises offer expanded capacities and create the foundation for future innovations. This step reflects the constant effort to adapt to market requirements and remain competitive in the long term.
December 2024: Brand Consolidation
The independent company label “VPS2day” will only be operated under the umbrella brand servinga in the future.
